Austin City Limits "Tim McGraw"
Airs Saturday, February 2 at 11:00 PM

Tim McGraw's success is undeniable - he's sold over 40 million records, won three Grammy Awards, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, 11 Country Music Association Awards, 10 American Music Awards and three People's Choice Awards. But McGraw is more than radio's most-played artist of the past decade - he's a "star with substance" (NPR Music). Here McGraw takes a break from co-headlining the most popular tour of the summer to make his Austin City Limits debut.

It's been over 20 years since McGraw learned to play guitar and headed for Nashville to try his hand in music. Since breaking into the country music scene, McGraw has transcended the traditional boundaries of country music stardom by working with hip-hop artists and acting in critically-acclaimed television series and movies. "Always a risk-taker, he remains fearless," wrote Billboard.

Through all of his work, McGraw maintains an emotional connection to his audiences. As he puts it, "There's a lot of people who can pick up a guitar and sing you a great song, but there's very few people that can tell you how they feel. That's the main purpose of acting or doing an opera or painting or anything. It's hard to tell somebody how you feel, and, more importantly, tell them how they feel."

With a staggering 32 No. 1 songs under his belt, McGraw recently released his first single for Big Machine Records, "Truck Yeah," which debuted at No. 22 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart and No. 25 on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck Chart, marking his highest solo chart debut ever.
