Mrs. McGinty was killed by a brutal blow to the head, and her lodger James Bentley (Joe Absolom, "EastEnders") is sentenced to hang for the murder. As Poirot joins forces with famed crime novelist Ariadne Oliver (Zoe Wanamaker, Harry Potter ) to save Bentley from the gallows, he doesn't realize his own life is in danger.
