Miller's Court

Arthur Miller On September 12, 2003 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, legendary Harvard Law School professor Arthur Miller led a discussion on a controversial issue that has made the headlines all over the country: TORT REFORM. In Wyoming this issue is of particular interest, as malpractice insurance rates continue to soar, and many Wyoming towns are losing rural doctors who say they are being forced from practice because of the high cost of insurance and lack of tort reform. Will tort reform remedy the situation?

Wyoming PBS was there to cover the forum, and produce the 90 minute discussion for broadcast.

Arthur Miller has been called "a brilliant discussion leader," whose hypothetical scenarios and disarming sense of humor engage panelists in riveting discussions. His style is to create an environment where panelists freely interact with him, one another and the audience, to explore all sides of the issue, with Miller sparking the discussion and playing traffic cop to keep the discussion on point. Miller received an Emmy award for moderating a similar discussion series on PBS, "Media & Society". He appears regularly on television, radio and in print. He has served as legal editor for Good Morning America and appeared frequently as an analyst on Court TV. In addition to his brilliant reputation as a facilitator and professor, Miller is one of America's premier legal minds on all aspects of the Constitutional right to privacy. Miller was joined by a panel of experts drawn from across the country.
